A validation survey confirms that the installed wireless network delivers the coverage, capacity, roaming, and performance defined by the wireless design and customer requirements.
What it is
A validation survey is performed after wireless installation and configuration are complete. The engineer collects on-site RF and, when required, client-connected measurements throughout the designated survey areas.
Measurements are compared to the design targets and acceptance criteria to confirm coverage, SNR, data rates, roaming behavior, and application readiness.
Validation surveys are commonly used for project acceptance, warranty of the wireless design, and confirmation that the environment is ready for production applications.
