Location-aware wireless infrastructure

RTLS & Indoor Location Services

Real-Time Location Services (RTLS) and indoor positioning depend on wireless infrastructure that is designed and validated specifically for location accuracy — not just data coverage.

PREDICTIVE RF DESIGN-65 dBmCh. 3615 dBmCoverage model

What it is

RTLS engagements design and implement wireless infrastructure that supports indoor positioning, asset tracking, staff location, and location-aware applications across BLE, Ultra-Wideband (UWB), Wi-Fi, and RFID technologies.

Location accuracy requires specific AP density, placement, and antenna characteristics that are different from a standard data-coverage design. Engagements account for those requirements up front.

Common use cases include asset and equipment tracking, staff duress and safety, patient and visitor flow, warehouse operations, retail analytics, and location-aware wayfinding.

How it works

  1. Step 01

    Use Case Discovery

Define assets, actors, accuracy targets, applications, and integration requirements.

  2. Step 02

    Technology Selection

Select the right mix of Wi-Fi RTLS, BLE, UWB, and RFID for the required accuracy and use cases.

  3. Step 03

    Design and Placement

Design AP density, placement, and antennas specifically for location accuracy — not only data coverage.

  4. Step 04

    Validation and Handoff

Validate location accuracy against use-case targets and hand off documentation to operations.

What we design and enable

  • RTLS & Indoor Positioning

Wi-Fi and multi-technology RTLS designs sized for the required accuracy and use cases.

  • Cisco Spaces Integration
